Lurucina Online was inspired by the families of Lurucina website by Veli İsmail. Veli completed an immense archive of research that has been transferred to this site to be made more widely available.

Veli had a section on family trees & the families of Lurucina. This site will recreate that with references and archive data from Veli and new data from users of this site.

Lurucina is unique in that it’s a majority Turkish Cypriot village that was and is bilingual and borrows from Greek and Turkish Cypriot culturesThis being the case Lurucina is an excellent starting point for genealogy. Plotting family trees without good quality data is impossible. The key to good data is getting it from reliable documented sources. 

This site has new software that automates the process and we invite all Cypriots to login and find themselves and their families and add their own data to the tree. Viewing the family trees is for registered users only and registration is free.
